December 9, 2008

Greetings to all!

It was only 5 tries and then success of the IV just prior to surgery.

Both Rich and I were done in record time with the surgeries. My time was 2 1/2 hours and Rich was 3 1/2 hours.

I was able to visit with Rich this morning......he is way on the opposite side of this complex....but between a really great wheelchair, 2 of my daughters and Kayla's boyfriend we made it with no troubles. Rich is looking great and starting to feel much better. He still has a way to go but with his optimistic outlook he will make it just fine.

Small scare today when I began having difficulties breathing. After a set of x-rays, a consult with another surgeon it was discovered that my diaphragm as hitting my ribs when I tried to breath. After more pain killers, and a hit of oxygen I am breathing much better.

Please continue to pray for a speedy recovery for both of us, pray for our families as they are feeling helpless in this recovery process.

Thank you to all who have been with us and

BLESSING TO ALL,

Ingrid

Wow, Ingrid I'm so sorry to hear about your scare. Will keep praying for you.

You sure have a wonderful husband. It was neat to see his love for you and him expressing it with each sweet kiss or stroke of your hair. You must be quite a wonderful gal in many more ways than this, and this one leaves me humbled!

Everyone's checking the blog even if they don't sign in I know we're all hanging on every detail of how you're both doing so thanks for writing!

I hope you're feeling up to utilizing that chef! :)

Love you! Shirley Cohea-Myers

Hey Rich,
Heard you're doing much better but had some terrible pain yesterday because Ingrid's kidney's making up for lost time and your poor bladder's needing a life jacket! Should we start building an ARK?? lol

Seriously,.. I'm rejoicing with you that you need to pee all the time! Don't think I've ever been thankful for that one before...? lol

Heard also that you were up and walking today, good for you!

I love you and am thinking about you handsome! God's speed in your recovery!

Love, Shirley

Rich and Ingrid,

Praise God you have made it through what I hope to be the worst of this journey. It is great to hear you are up and about. My prayers continue to be a speedy, complete recovery for you both. Can't wait to see your smiling faces on Sundays soon.

Love,
Carrie

Hey Ingrid,

I'm so glad to hear that you are doing so well. The success of yours and Rich's surgies is an answer to prayer.

And what's with the turning blue and not breathing...at least your staying true to form.

Thank John for calling the morning of your surgery. I was so glad to hear from him cuase you were in my thoughts and prayers.

And tell Rich for every cup of tea he drinks he will be making at least two trips to the bathroom! Looking forward to tea again and sitting there waiting for you to return from the bathroom!

Sorry it took so long for me to send you a message but I was cut off from the world yesterday. Our internet and phone were down all day. It made for a quit and productive day but lonely.

Now be sure to do what they tell, rest like your supposed to and enjoy the meds while you can.

I will continue to keep you and Rich in my prayers. Tell John HI!

Love Ya,
Jayne
