Hi! Well, it looks as if Rich will be in the hospital at least one more day. Yesterday they drew 360 cc's of fluid from around his kidney. I had to ask how much that was, and apparently it is about a quart. Wow. No wonder he was so uncomfortable. He has a lot less pain today then he has been having, so probably that was the irritating factor. ~ ~ ~ And yes, it could come back. If it does, we will deal with it then.

The biopsy results show some inflammation which indicates a mild rejection. Dr Boelkins said that it could still be ongoing from the first bout or possibly the first one cleared up and then came back. It's hard to tell without a biopsy in between. For now they are pumping him up with steroids-tonight, again tomorrow and then they will decide if they need to keep him here at the hospital for further treatment or if they can continue treatment on an outpatient basis. Of course the steroids will bring his blood sugar back up again, but hopefully again, this will only be temporary

As Ingrid said yesterday, this is pretty exhausting, but He will give all of us the strength and endurance we need.

The pain Rich had yesterday, 15 on a scale of 1 to 10 (no exaggeration) has not returned. They finally just gave him meds to knock him out. About an hour later, it finally receded. Hmmm! I didn't think I'd ever see that kind of hurt in Rich.

Well, I'd better head home as I've got to get up a 4:00 and start another day. In this economy, I count my self blessed that I have a job to get up so early to go to.

A special thanks to Ingrid for hopping on the blog for me last night! Not only was I exhausted, but when I did try to get on, it just wouldn't let me in~ ~!

Blessings and safe keeping to everyone during all this snow, rain, times of challenge and, yep! The flooding.
