December 17

Greetings to all,

So much has been going on the past couple of days that tonight is the first time I have had to think and sit for a while.

I have been back at work this week, thinking I am only going to put in 4-6 hours a day and then it is a full 8 1/2 hours by the time I finally drag myself home. The energy level is not up to where it was before the surgery. But it will be there again someday . I am almost caught up with all my work....I was gone for 4+ days and you would think it was 4 weeks by the amount of work I had to do upon return.
Praise God that He has been with me and that I have some really great guys that I work with. I am only allowed to lift the weight of a pencil or pen....anything heavier and one of my great guys is right there to get it for me. Too bad mental work isn't weigh able, my work load would be lightened.

It has been absolutely fabulous coming home and not having to worry about cooking. There are some really great chefs at New Life. I can not say how thankful myself and the family are for all this wonderful food that has been brought in for us. Kayla and Brianna are loving it, especially the sweet treats( of course John is right there to indulge with them). Nothing like being a teen and eating a plate of cookies with a gallon of milk while watching MOMMA MIA at 2:00 in the morning.

Rich has been making great progress and will be home SOON! I thank God for his body being able to handle the transplant and am so looking forward to the days to come when Rich regains his strength and becomes a new and more vibrant person. Praise God for all his miracles.

I have still been having some issues with the pain medicines, I must not be used to them or have an extremely sensitive system. I think I am just sticking with good old extra strength Tylenol for now. I have a follow-up with the surgeon next week and may discuss any pain med options with him at that time. But for now it is just going to be Tylenol.

Please continue to pray for healing and patience we continue down the road to complete recovery.

Love and Blessings to all,

Ingrid
